Dr. Joan Barice, MD: Progesterone protects against Breast Cancer

Thanks Dr Leanne for that great e-mail. I enjoyed the radio show too.
Thanks for having me on. I love Progessence Plus! I think it's going to help
a lot of women. I want to clarify something you mentioned that I said -
sorry if I wasn't clear enough. It's not that progesterone kills breast
cancer cells but that that it protects against breast cancer by apoptosis
according to the medical literature. Apoptosis destroys damaged cells before
they become cancer cells. If you have progesterone receptor-positive
(instead of progesterone related) breast cancer and you use progesterone, it
tends to attach to those receptors and will cause apoptosis. That is good
news. Dr Purser shared with me hundreds of articles about progesterone
receptor positive breast cancer that indicate this. (you can read them on
PubMed). Remember- you have to have the right progesterone. Progessence Plus
with its natural and bioidentical P4 is good, and he said that that
synthetic progesterone causes a lot of bad side effects, one of them is it
can cause breast cancer.

Apoptosis is a wonderful example of how God has lovingly provided a natural
way to prevent cancer which does not damage normal cells. God's way is
better. God provided us with a gene (P53) called the tumor suppressor gene
that helps the cells rest and repair before they divide, and helps damaged
cells to be destroyed by apoptosis. They sacrifice themselves for us.
Apoptosis is programmed cell death.

I am grateful for this same Love and Wisdom in our essential oils. We heard
lots of evidence of that at Convention. Isn't it wonderful how frankincense
can kill bladder cancer cells and not the normal ones? And to hear of
patients suffering advanced cancer whose cancer cells literally melted away
while their normal cells were not harmed? Kind of reminds me of experiences
with oils killing disease-causing bacteria without harming the good bacteria
that we need for health.

When we make drugs to kill cancer cells, they also damage normal cells.
Synthetic hormones may cause cancer, while natural hormones our body makes
can protect. I believe God has given us what we need to be healthy, and the
tools to heal, but we have to recognize them, use them and do our part. We
need to listen to our body and tune in to the Love that can guide us. And to
use the tools, like the wonderful therapeutic essential oils we have. If we
eat unnatural food, take unnatural drugs, live unhealthy lifestyles, we can
expect to get sick. Sickness is our body telling us something is wrong and
we need to change it or it will get worse. We need good nutrition, exercise,
water, sunshine, temperance, fresh air, rest and trust in God. (The
pneumonic "NEWSTART"- easy to remember - borrowed from a program I attended
many years ago where a remarkable Dr Sang Lee changed the course of my
life). I use it because each one of these things is vitally important to our
health. For example rest. Physical emotional and spiritual rest are
important to prevent and fight cancer and other diseases. If we don't listen
when our body tells us to rest and instead do coffee and drugs to keep going
how are our cells going to be able to repair themselves properly? Rest is
when our cells repair, and when the P53 gene does its work.
